Futuricon aims to provide an accessible and inclusive experience for all the convention attendees.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is a modern building that conforms with the European accessibility requirements for public buildings.
The building has ramps and elevators, and wheelchair accessible toilets. If you encounter any difficulty navigating the building, please ask our volunteers to assist you.
We kindly request able-bodied attendees to keep the access ramps clear, and to not use the elevator so the people who really need it can access it freely.
Private accommodation options with wheelchair access are limited. We recommend using the advanced search filters on the Booking.com website to find the most current offer.
The public bus transportation system has a variety of vehicles ranging from very old, to the newer eco-friendly wheelchair accessible buses. For this reason we can’t guarantee that every single bus you encounter will be accessible. However bus lines to the venue are frequent so if the first one that arrives isn’t accessible, we recommend that you wait for the next one which probably will be.
Accessible vehicles have a small blue accessibility label (wheelchair and cane symbol) on the front, near the headlights. We recommend that you warn the driver that you will require wheelchair access, as they may not do so unless you ask.
When you call a taxi company, please let the operator know your accessibility needs so they can send you an appropriate vehicle.
Many restaurants in the centre of the city and a few of the restaurants in the vicinity of the venue are wheelchair accessible. We recommend using the TripAdvisor search to find a current list of accessible restaurants.
